Basic Sewing

Learn how to use your sewing machine to the fullest. Feel confident using different foots, stitches etc. Learn hand and machine embroidery; appliqué; twin needle work/decorative stitch work; buttonholes; various zips; free style embroidery, plus other techniques requested from attendees . Make at least one project in the course an appliquéd cushion.

Dressmaking

Stage 1 of the pattern & garment construction course overall aim is to deliver knowledge of using your sewing machine correctly; threading; tensions; foots; stitches; machine maintenance. Pattern knowledge; self body measurements; altering patterns; com mercial pattern knowledge; fabrics. Garment construction, make a garment covering waistband; zips; hems; buttonholes and interfacing usage. Overall come with your chosen pattern and learn all the techniques needed to complete.
Stage 2 & 3 courses covering further in depth knowledge of certain techniques already covered and further tailoring skill developments..
